Merry Christmas from Hope Church

Happy New Year!...the New Year of the

Church begins with the season of Advent.

It is a time to help us prepare and celebrate the fulfillment of our

longing for the Savior with the birth of Jesus.

The lighting of the four candles during Advent,

becomes an important symbol of the season.

The light reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world that

comes into the darkness of our lives to bring newness, life and hope.

December 16th - 3rd Sunday of Advent - JOY

Come join us as our Christian Ed Department presents

their annual Christmas Program during worship at 10:15 a.m.

We light the third candle ...the "Shepherd's Candle" and the color is Rose/Pink, reminding us of the Joy the world experienced at the birth of a child and the Joy of sharing this news of God's promise of

Hope, Peace & Joy with others.

December 23rd - 4th Sunday of Advent - LOVE

We light the fourth purple candle ...the Candle of Love.  It's light is meant to remind us of the love that God has for us.  "God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish,

but have eternal life."

December 24th - Candlelight Services

"Everything Has Its Time" (Ecclesiastes3:1-8)

For everthing there is a season and a time

for every purpose under heaven.

God arranges even the smallest details of our surroundings.  No matter which way we approach the subject of purpose, we have no choice but to believe that everything in the universe and every person has a purpose, God would not have created something without purpose.

Have a safe Holiday Season!
