On Sunday, February 4, 2018, we welcomed Rev. Jeannie Douglas as our Interim Minister.  She will be with us until we call a settled Minister.

Rev. Jeannie grew up in Paradise, California, and was number two in a family of nine children.  She didn't realize her call to ministry until she was in her thirties when she returned to college in Santa Barbara and went on to Fresno State, where her focus was on theology, women's studies and psychology.

From California, she moved to Minnesota to attend United Theological Seminary.  She has served churches in Minnesota, Montana and Wisconsin before studying to become an Intentional Interim Minister.  She has been an Intentional Interim for more than ten years and has served at least six churches as an Interim.

She is involved in the United Church of Christ at the Association level and at the Conference level.  She enjoys serving God and the church.

She is eager to get to know the members of Hope Church, Fremont and the surrounding areas and is excited to join all of us as we walk this new path together.
